Krouma Culture Center is an integral part of our Ecolodge. It is a multifunctional space that serves as a music studio, performance space, and educational center.
At Krouma Culture Center, we’re dedicated to enhancing the lives of residents in the Aswan community with our wide range of enriching activities and programs. Our programs have been designed to be socially and educationally engaging for community members of all ages with special focus on children and women. Since 2018, our target groups have benefited from our variety of programs, and we’re always keen to be part of community mobilization and make full usage of our independent efforts in creating consistent and sustainable activities to our target groups. Storytelling & Theater Program
In Nubia, storytelling is the heart of the Nubian culture , it is what connect Nubians living in different places to their own roots , history, heritage and families. Storytelling has been inherited among Nubians since ancient ages and we are at Krouma Culture center dedicating this program to celebrate our traditional Nubian storytelling, nonetheless , connecting to other cultures and societies through their stories.
Artisans Startup Accelerator
The Artisans Startup Accelerator shall be a special space for artisans to collaborate, learn, and create their own unique handicrafts. The hub will offers craftspreneur programs, such as workshops, masterclasses, and lectures, that provide hands-on experience with the latest crafting techniques.
Nubian Language Program
Our cultural center projects aim to promote and preserve the traditional practices and languages of our community. At culture center, we are proud to offer language courses in Nubian, including both Faddija and Kenzi. We believe that by preserving our cultural heritage, we can strengthen our community and inspire future generations.
